However, because this Jyotirlinga is situated in the snow-covered area of the Himalayas, it can be visited only during six months in an year – between April to November. The rest of the year, it gets too cold here when the Himalayas are covered with snow, thus the Kedarnath Temple remains closed for pilgrims.
